The Peale Center
is an essential part of GUIDEPOSTS, extensive Outreach Division.
For more than 50 years it has served as a research and publishing
channel for the positive-living precepts of Dr. Norman Vincent Peale,
providing inspirational publications, audio programs, and videotapes.
In addition, the Peale Center sponsors an annual Norman Vincent
Positive Thinking Conference. Located in Pawling, N.Y., the Center
serves, among other things, as the home of Positive Thinking. This
building houses the office of our chairman and co-founder, Ruth
Stafford Peale; the editorial offices of Plus magazine; our
fund-raising, development, and planned-giving operations; as well
as our prayer and compliementary services ministries.
Guideposts
Prayer Ministries:
Guideposts
Prayer Line enables people to call toll free and pray
with one of our staff or volunteers. Staff and volunteers
are available weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. EST to
pray with those in need at (800) 204-3772.
Thousands
of people call Dial Guideposts at (800) 473-6188 each
day to hear inspirational prayers by Norman Vincent and Ruth
Stafford Peale.
Children
may call Phone Friends at (800) 233-0773 to hear a
specially recorded, faith-filled story and song.
Guideposts
annually celebrates Thanksgiving Day of Prayer on the
Monday before Thanksgiving, and Good Friday Day of Prayer.
These events offer us another opportunity to lift up the prayer
needs of all who come to us.
The Web
Prayer Ministry, www.dailyguideposts.org/prayer,
promises that we will pray for each request submitted to our
website by name and need. Rapid Prayer Response (RPR),
brings the encouragement of personal prayers to people with
urgent needs via their email by touching them with the hope
of God's promises.
Every
dollar Guideposts receives whether it is from the sale
of a subscription, a contribution to a fund-raising mailing
to help distribute inspirational calendars to veterans hospitals,
or a million-dollar bequest is treated as a precious
gift entrusted to us for use in advancing our mission.
